1. Who We Are

Athena's Parthenon is operated by Pilon Laboratories Inc., Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada (BN: 787442177). Questions about this policy may be directed to derek@pilonlaboratories.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, chosen username, and any display name or profile photo you provide.

Natal chart data: If you use the Natal Chart feature, you provide your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. This information is used exclusively to calculate your astrological chart and personalize readings. It is never used for any other purpose.

Reading history: Readings saved to your Ephemeris are stored so Athena AI can reference your history across sessions. You control what gets saved.

Community content: Posts, comments, reactions, messages, and board threads you create in the Palladium are stored and visible to other members according to your visibility settings.

Usage data: Standard web server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. This data is used for security and platform performance and is not shared with advertisers.

Payment data: If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by a third-party processor. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the subscription tier you hold. We do not receive or store your full card number.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalise your astrological, tarot, and numerological readings
• To give Athena AI context from your chart and Ephemeris in every session
• To operate the Palladium social community
• To process your subscription and communicate with you about your account
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform

4. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information to any third party
• We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising
• We do not share your birth data or reading history with any third party, except as required to provide the service (Anthropic for AI generation, Supabase for database hosting)
• We do not use your natal chart or spiritual data for profiling, scoring, or any commercial purpose beyond personalising your experience on this platform

4a. Scientific Research Use

Athena's Parthenon was founded in part to study patterns in human spiritual experience at scale. We may analyse and publish findings using anonymised, aggregated data — for example, correlations between natal placements and reading preferences, or patterns in community engagement around different spiritual topics.

All research use is subject to the following binding constraints:

• Data will always be de-identified before analysis — no name, username, email, or other direct identifier is ever included
• Published findings will never allow any individual user to be identified
• Birth data and reading history will only appear in statistical aggregate form
• No data will be sold or licensed to third-party researchers

If you wish to opt out of research use entirely, contact us at derek@pilonlaboratories.com. We will exclude your data from any future research datasets. Your ability to use the platform is not contingent on participating in research.

5. Third-Party Services

The platform uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication (supabase.com)
• Anthropic — AI language model powering Athena AI (anthropic.com)
• Vercel — web hosting (vercel.com)
• NIST Randomness Beacon — public quantum entropy service operated by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology; queries to the Beacon are anonymous and contain no personal data
• Stripe (when applicable) — payment processing (stripe.com)

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and reading history for as long as your account is active. Community content (posts, threads, replies) may remain visible after account deletion unless you specifically request removal. On account deletion, we remove your personal profile, email, birth data, and Ephemeris within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable Canadian law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Withdraw consent to data processing (which may require account closure)

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The platform uses browser cookies and local storage for authentication session management and user preferences (such as your Palladium community agreement). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and service-role authentication for database operations. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
