Returns & Refunds

Every item in the shop is printed and shipped by our production partner, Printful, specifically for you, on demand — here is exactly what that means for returns, replacements, and order timing.
1. Made-to-Order Items
Apparel and accessories in this shop are not stocked inventory — each item is printed and produced only after you order it. Because of this, we're not able to accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, an incorrectly chosen size, or color preference. Please check the size and color details on each product page carefully before ordering.
2. Defects, Printing Errors & Wrong Items
We will always make it right if:
- Your item arrives damaged or defective
- There was a printing error on our end
- You received the wrong item
Email derek@pilonlaboratories.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
Because every item is produced on demand by Printful, the remedy for damage, defects, printing errors, or wrong items is a free replacement — reprinted and reshipped to you at no cost. Printful's own policy is to replace, not refund, in these cases, so this is the remedy we offer as well rather than leaving it as a choice — it gets a corrected item to you fastest.
3. Lost or Delayed Packages
If tracking shows a package as lost in transit, or delivery is significantly delayed past the estimated window, contact us and we'll work with Printful and the carrier to locate it or arrange a reprint.
4. Payment Processing Before Production
As a new shop, and while we continue to grow, payments currently take approximately 3–4 business days to fully clear into our account before your order is submitted to Printful and production begins. We wait for that clearance before paying Printful for the print run, so every order is reviewed and confirmed for production manually — orders are not sent to print until payment has cleared into our account. This does not add to the production or shipping time once printing starts; it is simply the window before your order enters the print queue. Thank you for your patience as we build this out.
5. Athena's Tarot — Pre-Order
The Athena's Tarot deck is a limited first print run available for pre-order. Your card is charged in full at the time of pre-order. This is fully refundable if the print run does not proceed. Once the deck ships, the standard defects/wrong-item policy above applies.
6. Refunds
Refunds (rather than a replacement) apply only when an order is cancelled before production begins, or when the Athena's Tarot pre-order print run does not proceed. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
